Life Transitions for Women over 50
Moving on After Divorce
Going through divorce can turn your world upside down and feel overwhelming, especially if like me, you were married for a long time.
Are you trying to make sense of your situation?
Trying hard to find direction in your life and feeling unsure what to do next?
I think its is probably easier when you are younger although however old you are, the affects of changing from married partner to independent woman and losing your lover, housemate, financial partner, confidante and best friend all in one go can feel devastating. For me, the worst was feeling lonely and anxious about coping on my own, as I grew older.
It was this difficult time in my life that brought me into life coaching and I have never looked back. We are often our own worst enemy when it comes to moving forward unable to get out of our own way. Having a coach enabled me to see that bitterness and blaming my ex husband, were hampering my progress.
The divorce transition is rarely easy, but you know, difficult as it can be, transitions provide wonderful opportunities and it is often the most difficult times in our life that offer the richest gifts.
